Nedap
Nedap ANPR Lumo
All-in-one licence plate camera with on-board processing and integrated IR, reading plates from 2 to 10 metres at up to 130 km/h, IP65 rated with PoE support.

The Nedap ANPR Lumo is a complete licence plate reader in a single housing: camera, IR illuminator, analyser and embedded software. Because processing happens on board, it outputs a plate rather than a video stream, which keeps network load down and removes the need for a separate recognition server at the gate.
Reading performance suits both barrier lanes and open approaches. Range is 2 to 10 metres over a width of up to 3.5 metres, with object speeds up to 130 km/h in free-run mode and up to 250 km/h when triggered. The 1/1.8 inch CMOS sensor runs at 1280 x 1024 with a 12 mm lens and integrated 850 nm IR illumination, and the unit ships pre-loaded with five classifiers covering 28 countries, with more available to download.
It can run standalone or as part of a larger system. Built-in time-based access lists hold up to 100,000 licence plates as white, black or ignore entries, configurable through the web interface, so a small site needs no host at all. For integrated deployments there is RS-485, 10/100 Ethernet, Wiegand 26 with SHA1, Wiegand 64 and custom Wiegand, OSDP v2 including secure channel with 128-bit AES, and a RESTful API.
Mounting position drives read reliability more than any setting. Nedap recommends either pole mounting up to 4 metres high in the centre of the lane, or mounting behind the barrier at bumper height around 0.5 metres, 2 to 3 metres back. The second option is generally preferred because it reads a vehicle that has already stopped. Keep the angle between the camera and the plate under 25 degrees, with best results between 5 and 20 degrees.
For Saudi installations the environmental figures are the ones to check against the gatehouse design: IP65 protection, minus 20 to plus 55 degrees C operating range, and 8 watt consumption from either 24 VDC or PoE and PoE+. Stebilex supplies, installs and integrates ANPR Lumo across Saudi Arabia from Al Khobar and Riyadh, including barrier, parking and access control integration.
