Nedap
Nedap builds long-range vehicle identification and ANPR technology — TRANSIT, uPASS and ANPR Lumo — so vehicles are identified and gates open without the driver stopping or lowering a window.

Anything that makes a driver stop, wind down a window and present a card is a bottleneck, and in Saudi summer it is also a comfort and safety issue. Nedap removes that step: long-range readers identify the vehicle or its driver from several metres away, the barrier or gate is already moving as the car approaches, and the queue behind it never forms.
Nedap Identification Systems is part of Nedap N.V., headquartered in Groenlo in the Netherlands, and operates through seven offices worldwide. The company reports more than 30 years of experience in RFID, over 100,000 gates secured with its technology, and more than 1,000 employees across the wider group.
TRANSIT uses semi-active RFID to identify vehicles and drivers at long range, with heavy-duty, ATEX-rated and card-boosting tag options for industrial and hazardous environments. uPASS uses passive UHF RFID for cost-effective long-range identification using windscreen tags and cards, and NVITE handles mobile and card credentials at the gate for driver-based identification.
ANPR Lumo covers the cases where no credential is issued at all — contractors, deliveries, visitors — by reading the number plate and passing it to the access control system as an identifier. Combining RFID for regular users with ANPR for occasional traffic is the standard pattern for a Saudi corporate campus or gated compound that has to serve both populations from the same lane.
The engineering detail that matters locally is environmental. Readers mounted on gantries and gate posts sit in direct sun and blowing sand for years, tag adhesives must survive windscreen temperatures well above ambient, and ATEX-rated options exist precisely because Saudi petrochemical and gas sites cannot use standard electronics at the gate.
Stebilex Systems supplies Nedap vehicle identification and ANPR products across Saudi Arabia from Al Khobar and Riyadh. We survey lane geometry and reader mounting, select the right tag and reader combination for the traffic mix, and integrate Nedap with barriers, bollards, parking management platforms and the site access control system.
