FAAC JS 80 F Fixed Security Bollard

The FAAC JS 80 F is a fixed, non-operable security bollard built for permanent hostile vehicle mitigation. Its 275 mm cylinder stands 1,000 mm above finished ground level and sits in a shallow-mounted foundation, which keeps excavation depth down on sites where buried services, basement slabs or drainage runs restrict how deep the civil contractor can dig.

Impact performance is certified to PAS 68:2013, IWA 14-1:2013 and ASTM F2656/F2656M. The bollard arrests a 7,500 kg N3 truck at 80 km/h with a P2 penetration rating and a break-in resistance of 1,852,000 joules. For a consultant writing a specification, that single model satisfies British, international and American crash standards without switching product for each code.

Corrosion protection is a real consideration in the Eastern Province. The cylinder is high-performance steel treated by cataphoresis, the head is aluminium finished in Rilsan anti-corrosion resin, and an mDure protective sleeve shields the visible column. An INOX version in AISI 316 stainless steel is available where coastal salt exposure or an architectural finish drives the selection.

JS 80 F is typically used to close the permanent gaps in a protected line: either side of an operable bollard array, along a building facade, or across a pedestrian plaza that must stay permanently vehicle-free. Because it carries no motor, hydraulics or control cabling, it needs no power supply and no scheduled servicing once installed.
