TiSO

TiSO covers two ends of the same problem: controlling people on foot at the lobby line, and stopping vehicles at the perimeter. That combination is useful on Saudi projects where the same consultant specifies the speed gates in the reception and the crash-rated bollards on the access road, and wants a single manufacturer behind both.

TiSO was established in 1996 and is a European-designed and manufactured physical security equipment company, headquartered in Ukraine with subsidiary offices in the United Kingdom, Singapore and the Middle East. It employs in excess of 350 staff across management, manufacturing and logistics, engineering and sales, and its products are installed in over 100 countries.

The pedestrian range covers tripod turnstiles, full-height turnstiles, optical speed gates, swing gates and emergency exit doors, with custom finishes and additional equipment for lobbies where the entrance line is part of the architecture. The vehicle range covers high-security automatic bollards, traffic bollards in manual, semi-automatic and automatic formats, road blockers and anti-ramming barriers.

Certification is where TiSO is worth examining closely. The company operates an ISO 9001:2015 quality management system, carries out extensive in-house product testing, holds externally certified crash tests to ASTM and IWA standards, and has obtained UKCA certification. TiSO has also published that its equipment complies with the requirements of the High Commission for Industrial Security — directly relevant for Saudi industrial and energy sites.

Built for demanding climates, TiSO vehicle barriers use stainless steel or powder-coated corrosion-resistant bodies, support backup battery operation so a barrier still functions through a power cut, offer wired remote control, and integrate with access control and identification systems rather than operating standalone.
