VITA Detection
VITA Detection builds X-ray security screening systems using 3D isometric perspective imaging and AI-assisted detection, for baggage, parcel and cargo inspection at checkpoints.
X-ray screening lives or dies on image quality and operator fatigue. A scanner that produces a flat, ambiguous image asks the operator to make a judgement call hundreds of times a shift, and the misses accumulate. VITA's approach is to give the operator more perspective on the same bag, rather than more time to stare at one view.
VITA Detection is headquartered in Saint-Laurent, Quebec, Canada, and specialises in advanced X-ray baggage and security scanning systems. Founded by William Awad with a small founding team, the company's engineering expertise in 3D perspective X-ray scanning dates back to 2005, giving it close to two decades in security imaging. VITA maintains offices in Canada, the USA, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and Malaysia.
The defining technology is 3D Isometric Perspective X-ray, a dual-view approach that shows a scanned object from multiple angles so concealed items are harder to hide behind dense material or careful packing. AI-assisted detection software supports the operator by flagging items of interest, and the imaging tools help distinguish organic, inorganic and metallic materials.
The product range scales by tunnel size and throughput. Compact models such as the V50S and V60 suit entrance checkpoints in offices, government buildings, hotels, event venues and educational institutions. Larger models including the V60D, V60S, V70, V100 and V100DT handle higher-volume baggage and cargo screening at airports, metro stations, logistics facilities and commercial complexes.
In Saudi Arabia, the demand is driven by the same pressures shaping everything else: new stadiums, museums, entertainment venues and mega-project sites all need entrance screening; expanding airports and logistics hubs need higher throughput; and government and financial buildings need mailroom and parcel screening that does not create a queue in the lobby.
Stebilex Systems supplies VITA X-ray screening systems across Saudi Arabia and supports them from Al Khobar and Riyadh. We help size the scanner to the actual throughput and item profile, plan the checkpoint layout around the machine, and integrate screening with access control, visitor management, CCTV and perimeter security so the checkpoint works as one process.
